B.F.A. in Graphic Design


Become a graphic designer

The BFA in Graphic Design combines rigorous course work with industry experience. You will take classes in studio, advertising design, web design, and computer graphics applications. In your final year you will work with clients from industry pulled from both the University as well as neighboring communities, complete a semester long professional internship, and develop a thesis project to be exhibited in one of the University galleries.

The Curriculum

Key components of our program include:

  • A two-year foundation program, offering classes in 2-dimensional design, 3-dimensional design, digital art, drawing, color, and art history.
  • Graphic design courses in basic publication, computer graphics applications, advertising, and web design.
  • A fully credited internship program that gives students experience in the field prior to graduation.
  • The opportunity to work with real-life clients from both our University and local communities.
